HERE & THERE
November 14, 2026
61 West Utah Avenue, Las Vegas, NV
A year in the life. A season in transformation.
THE CONCEPT
Here & There follows a single subject through the passage of a year, season by season, tracing the way time and transformation shape a person. Fire runs through all of it as a reminder that everything burns bright before it fades, and the show asks you to see yourself in that journey.
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION
There is a version of all of us that exists only in motion, never fully arrived, never fully gone. Here & There follows a single subject through the passage of a year, tracing the quiet and subtle and sudden ways a person is shaped by time.
The work begins in warmth. Open air, saturated light, the particular freedom that comes with a season that feels endless. But seasons always end. What follows is not loss so much as transformation. It is a gradual dimming, an interior shift, a fire that burns differently depending on what it is given to consume.
Fire appears throughout these paintings not as destruction but as evidence. Of feeling. Of change. Of something that was here and is now becoming something else. A flame is one of the most honest things there is — it begins with a bright spark, burns with everything it has, and eventually fades out. Just like moments. Just like seasons. Just like us.
Each painting exists in a dreamlike, surreal space. Moments appear rendered between reality and memory, where the impossible feels inevitable. These are not literal scenes but emotional landscapes, artifacts of time itself. They capture what we feel rather than what we see, rendered in surreal dreamscapes where fire burns in impossible ways and nostalgia settles over every frame. The images ask us to sit with what we've lost and what we're becoming, to recognize a moment already passing as it happens, to feel the bittersweet truth that nothing stays and everything transforms.
The subject is not named. They are not always clearly seen. That is intentional. This is an exhibition about a year in one life, and in that way, it is about every life. About the fleeting moments that shape us, the ones we try to hold onto and the ones that slip through anyway. You may recognize the light. You may recognize the dark. You may find yourself wondering, as you move from one canvas to the next, where this person is going.
That wondering is the work.
